Membership
The Jewish Genealogy Society of Greater Washington was founded in
1980 to collect, preserve, and disseminate Jewish genealogical
knowledge and information.
The Society seeks to attain its objectives by:

Promoting genealogical research.

Providing instruction in the use of research methodology and
adherence to standards of accuracy.

Fostering careful documentation and promoting scholarly
genealogical writing and publication.

Promoting the preservation of Jewish genealogical records
and resources.

Instructing and educating its members and the general public.

Membership in the society is open to anyone who is interested in
supporting its goals.

Yearly dues are $30 for an individual member and $45 for
a family. A special Patron membership is now available.
For an annual contribution of $100 patrons are recognized in
the Mishpacha newsletter and at general meetings of the Society.

The Society is certified as a non-profit organization under
Section 501(c)(3) of the U.S. Internal Revenue Code and contributions
may be tax deductible according to law.
